Greetings Fellow Pilgrim!
My Name is Brian Kempiak. I am a student at Loyola University in Chicago. I am in an online program to get a Master’s of Arts and Pastoral studies with a concentration in hospital chaplaincy and a certificate in Spiritual Direction. I pray God’s glory shine through my ministry and deeds.
The themes of this blog is highly dependent on my own whims and fancies. I enjoy scripture and bringing it down to very practical one liners. I enjoy synthesizing the faith into bite size nuggets of wisdom that can be understood by anyone. The articles in this blog are fruits of my prayer, study, and various ministries. I do not have a major theme, but a passion project of mine is to develop a spirituality of Capitalism. I am determined to baptize economic thought and redeem it for the kingdom of God. Please, pray for me!
I am currently in the process of trying to publish some books. I’d appreciate prayers. I want to write three books to establish the “Average Catholic” brand. The first book deals with how to be a Catholic witness when we interact with friends and family that are not practicing devout Catholics. The second book promotes the five precepts of the Catholic Church and offers reflections on their importance. The third book instructs people on how to grow in holiness in a consumerist/capitalist society.
I like to say that, “I am a sheep in wolf clothing.” I want to be a witness to those who encounter me outside of a catholic setting. Where am I encountered? Anywhere and everywhere. I could be downtown, at a bar, at a reception, at a volunteer event, at a networking event, or where ever else. I want to show them a person that knows the faith, that loves the faith, and that lives the faith. I pray that this blog serves as an oasis for those who wonder if there are no other true believers. We must be united as a church! The battle has been won! Let us now bring everyone home to heaven!
